Utah sex offender 'person of interest' in killing

Updated:

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A Utah sex offender out on bail for kidnapping and rape charges has been named a "person of interest" in the killing of another sex offender.

The Uintah County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Jesse Anthony Saenz of Fort Duchesne was arrested Monday by police in Glendale, Ariz.

Uintah County Undersheriff John Laursen says Saenz was found driving the car of 22-year-old Elvis Zachary Olsen of Roosevelt.

Olsen's body was found Sunday in Ft. Duchesne on the Ute Indian Reservation.

Saenz had been released on bail pending a July trial on kidnapping, sexual assault, rape and other charges.

Olsen, a registered sex offender, had been released from jail four days before his body was found. He was serving time for a probation violation.

Authorities plan to extradite Saenz to Utah for violating his release.
