U of M police search for attempted sexual assault suspect

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police are searching for a man after an attempted sexual assault on the University of Michigan campus around 3:00 a.m. this morning.

University of Michigan Police say that a female visitor was walking from South University through the Arch when an unknown male approached her from behind. He told her to be quiet and attempted to remove her pants. He fled on foot when other pedestrians approached.

The suspect is described as a black male, 35 years old, 6'0" tall, with a thin build, and a dark complexion. He was wearing a black baseball cap, blue sweatshirt, jeans, and carrying a backpack.
