Help fight diabetes during the annual Tour de Cure

DETROIT (WJBK) -

Take a ride to help fight diabetes during the Tour de Cure, the American Diabetes Association's annual cycling event.

This year's event happens on June 15 at Brighton High School.

Riders can choose between a variety of courses, including 10, 15, 25, 62 and 100-mile rides.

To get prepared, riders can meet special guest Chris Carmichael on April 30 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at American Cycle and Fitness (39900 West 14 Mile Road) in Walled Lake. The first 30 riders to register for the 2013 Michigan Tour de Cure at the event will receive a Carmichael Training Systems DVD.
