TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- The deadline has passed for New Jerseyans seeking aid for Superstorm Sandy damage to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

FEMA says it received 332 new registrants before Wednesday's 11:59 p.m. deadline.

Residents who have been turned down for assistance have 60 days from the date of the rejection letter to appeal the denial or why they feel the payment is inadequate.

Four disaster recovery centers in Brick Township, Toms River, Union Beach and Mays Landing will transition to Small Business Administration disaster loan centers on Saturday.

FEMA says it has approved nearly $391 million in grants to individuals and households in New Jersey since Sandy hit little more than six months ago.
