Thieves steal ATVs from Dacula baseball field

DACULA, Ga. -

Young baseball players and parents are upset after two ATVs were stolen were from a Dacula baseball park.

The ATVs belong to Andy Fullard, the baseball director of the Archer Athletic Association, which plays its' games at the field. The equipment was stolen from a storage shed sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

"It's stealing from the kids," said Cayce Waters. "Because this place was built for the kids of this community so they could have a place to come, play sports, enjoy."

One of the four-wheelers was the prized possession of Fullard's recently adopted 15-year-old son.

"He hopes we find out where they are at and if he's going to get another one," Fullard said.

The ATVs were used with attachments to help groom and maintain the seven baseball fields. Without the four-wheelers, that maintenance goes from horsepower to manpower.

"It is a lot of work, so we definitely could use the four-wheelers back," said Fullard.

The Archer Athletic Association is offering a $1,000 reward for the reward of some ATVs stolen from a storage shed. If you have information, email: President@playaaasports.com
