YPSILANTI, Mich. (WJBK) -

Her best friend and family members came to the Ypsilanti police station to see 25-year-old Farrah Cook.  The mother of three young children was missing for nearly eight hours.  Police say witnesses saw her being kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend on her way to work around 5:45 a.m. while leaving her apartment on the 500 block of South Hamilton.

"She's doing good.  Unhurt," said father Sam Cook.

"I'm so happy right now.  I could cry," said best friend Porcher Hendrix.

This is what one neighbor told Farrah's father and investigators.

"She noticed my daughter and her ex-boyfriend were engaged in a scuffle, and then saw him and another individual drag her into a car and drive off," Sam said.

We're told Farrah's own mother heard her scream.  The incident was also reportedly captured by surveillance cameras.

27-year-old Jeremy Abston is wanted for questioning in the alleged abduction.  Friends say he is the father of Cook's three children, and their relationship was rocky.

"She was actually in the midst of leaving him a couple months ago, and she actually did that," Hendrix said.

"Recently there was some violence going on where he apparently pulled a gun on her," Sam said.

Around 2:00 p.m., family and friends said Cook was able to break free from an apartment on Golfside Drive where she was being held.  She ran for help to a neighbor, who called police.

"They took her to some apartment complex where there was another lady there," Sam explained.  "Apparently when they turned their back[s], the lady opened the door, something to that effect, and let her go, and she ran out."

Abston is said to be driving a blue or black older model Bonneville.  We're told it has a spare tire on the rear passenger side.

Police are also looking for the alleged accomplice.
