Operation Good Jobs focuses on military veterans, families

A new program offered by Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit focuses on eliminating barriers to employment for military veterans and their families.

About Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit's Operation Good Jobs

Operation Good Jobs is focused on eliminating barriers to employment for military veterans and their families to facilitate independence.

A 16-week program to provide veterans with employability skills to help them transition to civilian employment.

Goodwill has been successfully providing job education, training and placement for more than 90 years. The organization is putting its resources to work for veterans with Operation Good Jobs.

In 2012, there were approximately 700,000 veterans living in Michigan. Roughly 30% of these veterans are unemployed.

How is this different than other veterans programs?
Operation Good Jobs is open to military spouses and adult children, ages 18-25.
Goodwill works with other area veterans groups to supplement their efforts and make veterans trained, trusted and ready to work.

Open to military veterans, spouses and children (18-25 years of age)
