A middle school teacher is on the hot seat after parents reported he showed R-rated movies to 12-year-olds.
The Fulton County Superintendent's Office has launched an investigation into what reportedly took place inside a sixth grade classroom at Bear Creek Middle School.
Students say the teacher showed them movies such as "The Campaign" and "Ted" that include coarse language and nudity. They say the teacher reportedly warned the students that what goes on in this classroom, stays in the classroom.
Inga Wheeler complained to the school's principal about the 25-year-old teacher.
"I got to speak out. You know, this is wrong," Wheeler said.
The Fulton County Board of Education issued a statement that said, "It's unfortunate when poor judgment is used, but we applaud our parents for staying engaged and keeping us informed. Principal Franklin did communicate with all parents to let them know that he was informed about this matter."
Officials said that the issue is a personnel matter being investigated by human resources. They said the teacher was not in class on Friday.
