Police say after they arrested a man who tried to kidnap a woman while she was out jogging, he admitted to assaulting and exposing himself to several other women.

Officers say 22-year-old David Vincent Talkington was arrested just after 7 p.m. Wednesday near Alma School and Dynamite, where the alleged incident occurred. Police released his name after doing lineups with other potential victims.

Since news of Tuesday's attempted abduction broke, six other victims came forward to say a similarly described suspect and/or suspect car approached them or grabbed them. The victims' ages range from 13- to 58-years-old.

Police say Talkington exposed himself to two or possibly three women between May 14 and May 16.

According to police, Talkington went on a spree Tuesday, assaulting multiple women throughout the day.

First, a woman reported a man grabbed her butt while she was in a Bashas' parking lot near Scottsdale Road and Thompson Peak Parkway.

Next, a girl was jogging down Dynamite just before dusk when she passed a silver car pulled over with its flashers on. As soon as she ran by, police say Talkington jumped out of the car and grabbed her from behind. She fought him and got away.

A real estate agent driving down the road Tuesday night saw what happened. He started to follow the guy and called 911.

Dispatch: "911 what is your emergency?"

Caller: "Yes ma'am someone might have called you right now about a possible abduction. I'm following that car, it's a silver car, looks like a Toyota Corolla."

Caller: "I was just driving out of a neighborhood and a guy jumped out of a car and grabbed a girl who was jogging down the street. She saw that other people were around, she started screaming and he took off driving so I'm trying to follow him."

The 911 caller tried to follow the suspect, but Talkington was allegedly driving so fast he got away.

After the jogger's assault, officers say they believe Talkington went to a neighborhood near Desert Ridge Marketplace and exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl.

He then allegedly went to the mall and assaulted and threatened two women. Police say he threatened to "blow them up" if they didn't lift their shirts.

Afterward, Talkington allegedly went to a Fry's grocery store where he grabbed another woman's butt and threatened her.

Victims gave police partial or full license plate numbers that matched a car found at Talkington's parents' home, where he lives.

Officers were staking out the home Wednesday night when they saw Talkington leave the house with his mother; he was arrested shortly afterward.

Detectives say Talkington admitted to being involved with all of the reported assaults and exposures.

Women who live in this neighborhood near Troon North and Pinnacle Peak say nothing like this ever happens around there.

"Well it's a little scary because the neighborhood is supposed to be considered safe," says Cole.

"I think it can happen anywhere and no matter where you live you need to be careful and conscientious of your surroundings," says Jennifer Digiacomo.
