PHOENIX -

A man who was employed at an Ahwatukee recreational center has been arrested for luring a minor for sexual exploitation.

21-year-old Michael Hudson was arrested on Thursday and is facing charges of luring a minor, attempted child molestation, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The investigation first began on May 17. Phoenix Police say Hudson went to the home of the victim, a 13-year-old girl. He snuck into her bedroom through the window to avoid her parents.

Authorities say that Hudson provided the girl and two of her friends with alcohol, and then later tried to engage in sexual contact. She resisted his advances, so they continued drinking, the report says.

In the coming days, Hudson proceeded to engage texts with the victim in an attempt to lure her for sex, according to Sgt. Trent Crump.

Hudson worked at the city of Phoenix in a part-time position as a recreation leader. He met the victim two years prior when he was working at a summer camp that the victim attended. They stayed in contact since then through Facebook and text messaging.

The victim's father reported the texts to police and Parks and Recreation officials. Hudson resigned his position on May 21 prior to being fired.

The investigation is ongoing.
