ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJBK) -

Closing arguments brought an end to a hearing for suspended Wayne County Judge Wade McCree. The embattled judge is accused of misconduct after admitting he oversaw a child support case involving his mistress.

The Judicial Tenure Commission and McCree's attorney agreed on many things, but differed on whether or not he is fit to be a judge.

"In essence, respondent got caught. He got caught because of the pending investigation that he had Fox 2 News on his back. Members of the public who appear before Wade McCree have the right to know that the judge that they appear before does not think of them as a joke... ignorant, worthless or skank hoes. And they have a right to know that their cases are not discussed and decided behind closed doors or between bed sheets, but in an open court, on the record, and with representation," said Margaret Rynier from the Judicial Tenure Commission.

McCree's lawyer admitted that the judge should have recused himself from his lover's child custody case, but even though he did not, the baby daddy received justice.

"He should not have heard the King case. We said it. We didn't have to sit here for a week and a half listening to try to prove something we admitted. It was wrong, and he violated his duty as a judge by doing it," said Brian Einhorn. "Did Judge McCree cheat justice? Did he somehow deprive Mr. King of his rights? Absolutely not. Mr. King did not suffer any injury. Mr. King got what he deserved and maybe better than what he deserved."

McCree had no comment outside of the courtroom.

An opinion will be rendered in about a month. The JTC will review it, and then it will go to the Michigan Supreme Court. If McCree is removed, it could happen sometime in October or November.
