Cops: teen carrying gun busted at subway

NEW YORK (AP) -- New York City police say a 15-year-old was caught on a subway with a .22-caliber firearm in his waistband.

Police say they stopped the teenager along with three others after they saw the group go inside without paying the fare in the Bronx on the D-line subway entrance at Grand Concourse and East Fordham Road.

The 15-year-old was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a weapon. The rest of the group was arrested on charges of jumping the turnstile and criminal trespass.
