Father, Son Hit By Jeep In Center City

PHILADELPHIA -

A dad and his 4-year-old son spent Father's Day in the hospital after being hit by an SUV.

It happened just after 4:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the corner of 19th and Arch streets, according to investigators.

Police say a Jeep ran a red light and hit the boy and his dad as they crossed the street.

That Jeep also hit a police cruiser.

The dad and son and a police officer were taken to the hospital. The young boy suffered some bumps and bruises, and his father has a broken leg. The police officer's condition is unknown at this time.

Police are still investigating.
