PONTIAC, Mich. (WJBK) -

Monday the court accepted Tucker Cipriano's plea of no contest to felony murder, a guaranteed minimum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Bob Cipriano was beaten to death with a baseball bat, allegedly at the hands of his son, Tucker, and Tucker's friend Mitchell Young. The two men, both just 21, were allegedly high on K2 when police say they murdered Bob and nearly killed Tucker's mother, Rose, and brother, Sal, last April.  Eight-year-old sister, Isabella, and Sal's twin brother, Tanner, hid during the attack.

"This is not a plea deal at all. There's no bargain," said Fox 2 Legal Analyst Charlie Langton. "The difference here is that Tucker Cipriano said, you know what, I'm going to plead essentially guilty as charged, no deals, no lesser offenses, nothing."

The prosecuting attorney read statements from the family in court detailing that brutal night one more time. After the statements were read, most of the Cipriano family was in tears. Tucker Cipriano was also seen wiping his face on his shirt, but he never once looked back at his family.

"I think Tucker must have said, you know what, I have caused my family enough problems. This is it. I'm done. I'm going to take my lumps, and if it means life in prison, it means life in prison, and it will," Langton said.

Tucker Cipriano will be sentenced on July 9, but we could see him before that date if he is asked to testify in Mitchell Young's trial slated to start later this month.
