PHILADELPHIA -

An armed deli robbery is caught on camera. Two brazen gunmen held up the store owner with the man's kids right nearby.

It's scary enough having armed gunmen storm your business. But can you imagine the fear of the couple knowing your young children are asleep right upstairs?

This is every convenience store worker's nightmare. The victim has been at this location two years with no problem, so this caught him totally off guard.

It happened to Tai Poeng. He's the man you see with a revolver pointed at him in the store surveillance video.

"They just grab me over here and grab me on my neck and go inside," says Poeng.

Tai says that around 12:30 last Tuesday morning, he was closing his deli store on North 26th Street in Strawberry Mansion.

As Tai was putting down the security gates, two men ran up behind him from across the street and forced him inside. A person walking by takes off running when he sees what's about to go down.

Then inside…

"My wife see on the video and she wanted to come help me out but by the time she opened the door they all get us together."

Tai's wife, dressed in her night clothes, was terrified at what she saw. The second suspect grabbed her.

"They say let's get all the money and go upstairs and open the safety lock."

The two men force the couple to empty the register then go upstairs to the family's apartment for money they believe was in a safe. The most frightening thing, Tai says, is that all of this was happening while his two children were asleep upstairs.

"That's why I just let them take whatever they want," explained Tai. "They got the money that we are saving for two years for the kids. They take everything."

Tai says they have protection but have kept it upstairs since they never had anything like this happen.

Police ask that anyone with information about the robbery call them.
