Torrential rain and storms are moving across the region tonight. The heavy rain is causing flooding for some people out on the roads, particularly in South Jersey and Delaware.

Flash Flood Warnings are in effect for several counties.

A Flood Advisory is also in effect for parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

These storms have generally brought heavy rain, especially to the south and east, along with lightning and wind gusts to 40 mph.

We started off the day mild and humid, and the sunshine helped build up the humidity.

We got to a high of 87 degrees today, but we dipped to 67 in Philadelphia by mid-afternoon with the rain.

By late afternoon, Dover, Del., had already picked up more than 3 inches of rain, and the heavy stuff was still falling at most shore points.

Later, things clear out and we will take away some of that humidity.

Tomorrow will be comfortable with a high of 79, good for a "9." And the last day of spring Thursday will be a "10" with a high of 81.

Summer starts on Friday with a high of 83 degrees for the first day. For the first weekend of summer, things really heat up. By Sunday we are at 89 degrees, and we should hit 90 by Monday.
