Vacant Properties In Philly To Be Auctioned Off

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia is set to unload vacant properties, for the right price.

Standing outside an empty property on North Marston Street in North Philadelphia, the Max Spann Auction Company, the Philadelphia Housing Authority and city leaders got together for a press conference. They were there to announce the auction of 265 long-term vacant properties.

It'll happen July 16th.

The PHA says the sale is meant to reduce blight in the city and put old properties back on the tax rolls.
