Popular Facebook Game Brings In $633,000 Per Day

Posted: Updated:

It's got colorful candies, more than 350 levels, and relieves boredom. But the Facebook game Candy Crush Saga also brings in around $633,000 a day from its players.

The game is very simple. You have a grid full of brightly colored "candies," and you must make them all disappear. You "crush" the candies by lining three or more of the same kind together. When all of them disappear, you advance to the next level. Different levels have different challenges. Some levels give you move limitations. Others give you point goals.

Although free to download and free to pay, your lives are limited. If your five lives deplete, you have to wait 30 minutes before you can try again. And that's the key: people who don't want to wait 30 minutes to play again can buy more lives for a small fee.

And from all the people who want to keep on playing because they have that hot hand, Candy Crush Saga soaks in $633,000 a day.
