NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Major League Baseball and its fans take a break from the regular season to have some fun at the 2013 All-Star Game on Tuesday night.

MLB rolled out the red carpet in the afternoon for a parade along 42nd Street showcasing All-Stars and former NY Mets players.

The Amazins' are hosts to this years All-Star game. The parade will run between 6th Ave. and 2nd Ave.

On Monday, the prelude to the big game between the National and American leagues began with Home Run Derby at Citi Field.

Oakland's Yoenis Cespedes took home the trophy by beating Bryce Harper 9-8 in the final round.

Earlier in the day, a clinic was underway at Citi Field with baseball legend Dwight Gooden in attendance.

Both teams worked out on Monday, one of the hottest days of the year in New York CIty.

The starting pitchers were also announced on Monday: Matt Harvey of the Mets will go for the NL and Max Scherzer of the Tigers will take the mound for the AL.

2013 MLB All-Star Game coverage begins Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on Fox 5.
