22-year-old skateboards from Dyer to Cincinnati

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A young man from northwest Indiana made an unusual journey this week. The 22-year-old rode his skateboard nearly 300 miles from his home in Dyer, Ind. to Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kyle Ayling left Dyer Monday morning and arrived in Cincinnati on Thursday.

Ayling received a police escort to the Dyer border. But he was on his own for the 300-mile journey.

Kyle joined Good Day Chicago over the phone Monday morning, to speak on why he's making this skateboarding trek – just for the sense of accomplishment.

His next goal is the world skateboarding record – 7,000 miles. He got that idea from FOX 32 News weekend anchor and legal expert Larry Yellen.

Good luck Kyle!
