The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office just released details on a late-night shooting and crash in Trenton, New Jersey.

At 11:14 p.m. last night, police responded to a shots fired call in the area of East State Street and Olden Avenue. At the same time, they received a report of a pedestrian accident and overturned vehicle in the 800 block of East State Street.

Police discovered Barry Church, 52, of the first block of South Olden Avenue, slumped on the front steps of 1158 East State Street. He had a gunshot wound to the underarm area and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers responding to the accident discovered a blue Chevrolet Blazer had struck several parked cars, 2 pedestrians and then overturned.

The driver was found inside, shot in the neck and pronounced dead. He was 23 years old and his name is being withheld.

The two pedestrians who were struck are women, 22 and 23.  The 22 year old Trenton resident was reported in stable condition. The 23 year old from Philadelphia is in critical condition. Police say she was thrown several feet from the initial impact.

At the same time, an 18 year old Trenton man reported to Capital Health with a gun shot wound to the leg/ankle. Detectives are investigating to determine if there is a connection to the other incidents.

Then, at about 8:15 this morning, a person arrived at Capital Health with wounds to the stomach area. That person died.

This investigation is in its preliminary stages. Fox29 News will provide updates as more information becomes available.
