Pa. Man Accused Of Photographing Boy In Disney Bathroom

LANSDALE, Pa. -

A Montgomery County man is under arrest facing charges of turning a dream Disney vacation into a nightmare for one family.

Police say the man took pictures of a little boy while he was using the bathroom at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom in Florida.

This man who appears to have been a member of a Montgomery County political organization and mentor to kids, FOX 29's Omari Fleming reported from Lansdale on Sunday night after speaking with neighbors.

He was arrested at his home, and news of his arrest on video voyeur charges are not sitting well with his neighbors.

His name is Joseph Cionzynski. The 59-year-old man who supposedly identified himself as a scout leader to police is charged with snapping cell phone pictures of a child sitting on a toilet in a stall.

Neighbors were disgusted to hear the boy was just 8-years-old

Bob Remer, one of those neighbors, gasped, saying, "Oh, I don't like that."

"They're sick, and they don't give 'em a stiff enough punishment," said Dorothy Schonerberger, another neighbor.

The alleged incident happened Aug. 2. According to the police report, the boy ran out of the bathroom crying to his mother that someone reached under the stall taking pictures.

When the boy and his mother returned to the bathroom with security, the 8-year-old reportedly identified Cionzynski by his shoes.

Police say that's when the 59-year-old man identified himself as scout leader and employee at the National Labor Relations Board in Center City, gave his phone to police and said it was all a misunderstanding.

But authorities say pictures of the boy were found on the phone as well as nude images of someone else.

Though the lights were on, a car was parked in the driveway, and someone appeared to snap pictures of us from an upstairs window, no one answered the door at Cionzynski's home where neighbors say he lives with his wife.

Police say he was arrested without incident at his Lansdale home Wednesday and taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail.

For Remer, a neighbor who is still dealing with a young family member trying to recover from being molested, Cionzynski's actions hit too close to home.

"It just boils me inside that someone would do something like that," Remer said.

Cionzynski was allowed to come back home to Pennsylvania because police say they didn't find pictures of the 8-year-old boy on his phone until recently.

On Monday, we should get a better idea on when the 59-year-old man will be taken back to Florida for prosecution, Fleming reported.
