7 Shot In 4 Hours In Philadelphia

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

A rash of violence breaks out across the city of Philadelphia involving several teens.

Seven people are shot in the span of four hours, as gunfire erupts across the city.

Two people are dead and several others injured, including three teenagers who were wounded on the 700 block of South Taylor Street.

Police initially found two 17-year-olds wounded there.

"One male was shot in the face – appeared to have been shot in the eye," police Chief Inspector Scott Small said. "17th District police picked him up, transported him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he's in critical condition but in very, very bad shape. A second victim, also 17, was shot in the back. Seventeenth District police picked this individual up, also transported him to (HUP), where he was initially in critical condition, but he's just been upgraded to stable condition, expected to survive his injuries."

While police were there, they got information that a third victim, age 18, was driven to HUP by private car. He had been shot in the leg and said it happened at the same location.

Investigators do not have a suspect or motive at this time.

SkyFOX was over the 2700 block of Germantown Avenue in North Philadelphia around 6:30 p.m., where a double shooting sent two people to the hospital.

Police say two men were shot a total of eight times. One of the victims is listed in critical condition. The other is stable.

So far, there have been no arrests.

A shooting in Philadelphia's Hunting Park section left a 20-year-old man dead and his 23-year-old brother seriously injured.

It happened Monday night on the 3900 block of Percy Street around 6:30 p.m.

Police say the victims drove themselves to Temple University Hospital.

They say the shooting may be related to the stabbing of two teenagers Sunday night, in the same area.

Police are still searching for the gunman.

The surviving victim is in stable condition at temple hospital. Police are waiting to talk to him.
