Searching for Beyoncé in Coney Island

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Coney Island was all abuzz with Beyoncé. She was shooting what we think is a music video. Hundreds of fans flocked to the boardwalk just to check her out.

Rumor had it that Beyoncé was going to be here on location, so the search was on! We found a camera crew shooting at Auto Skooter bumper cars and took a peek but there was still no sign of Beyoncé.

Then we got a tip she was going to be riding the Cyclone, and it looked like hundreds of fans figured that out, too. Her security was tight but we got a glimpse of her in a white robe exiting her black Escalade.

Moments later she was riding the roller coaster in a white tank top and baseball cap. Then it she was whisked away to another location.

Then Beyoncé emerged, but this time kept walking through the streets amongst all the mayhem and screaming fans. She hit the boardwalk and continued her journey on the beach looking as beautiful as ever.

Security was tight-lipped about what they were actually shooting but no one cared. They were just happy to get a glimpse of Mrs. Carter.

An NYPD plan intended to better connect with the community seems to have backfired a bit. The police department asked its twitter followers to share pictures of themselves with New York City police officers using the hashtag "myNYPD." Some did share nice pictures, but others not so much. Some of the first pictures posted showed regular citizens standing with very friendly looking police officers.

Renting out someone's apartment is an easy way to get an inexpensive place to stay if you're a tourist, and cheaper and more convenient than most hotels. But now the government is stepping in and trying to get a handle on a booming business that may not be playing by the rules. State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is squaring off in court with multi-million dollar Internet company Airbnb.
