NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Westbound service on the Long Island Rail Road has been restored between Jamaica and Penn Station after signal problems in one of Amtrak's East River tunnels caused a suspension.

Scattered delays remain systemwide due to signal problems on the Queens side of the tunnels.

The 4:40PM train from Penn due Long Beach at 5:37PM, is canceled due to signal issues on the Queens side of the East River tunnels. Customers will be accommodated by the 5:00PM train from Penn due Long Beach at 5:55PM.
