A NYPD plan intended to better connect with the community seems to have backfired a bit. The police department asked its twitter followers to share pictures of themselves with New York City police officers using the hashtag "myNYPD." Some did share nice pictures, but others not so much. Some of the first pictures posted showed regular citizens standing with very friendly looking police officers.

PHOENIX -

Several bizarre burglaries in one Phoenix neighborhood. The suspect broke into homes, took showers, and even brushed her teeth before taking off with women's cosmetics and snow globes.

She's almost like the goldilocks of burglars.

Victims say police were even at a loss for words for the strange behavior.

The suspect, believed to be a woman, got into homes through open doors or doggie doors, skipped over credit cards laying in the open and DVD players -- and instead laid in one woman's bed then took things like bathroom fresheners and possibly a puppy.

"She went through my Christmas ornaments."

Kim Yeakel came home Friday morning to find someone had been rummaging through her house.

"She took all my cosmetics, she took every soap product in the house. The only thing she took from my guest bedroom was the disposable soap dispenser. And things of no value like a snow globe from Texas," said Yeakel.

Yeakel, who lives near 7th Street and Thunderbird, says the burglar skipped over more valuable items.

"The drawer that she pulled out, the photos of my mom, had a credit card in the drawer that she didn't take."

And then Yeakel discovered possibly the strangest thing. The suspect left a note on the printer.

"It said 'I'm working on it and I heart you xoxoxo.' Huh. I'm working on what? I don't know."

Most of Yeakel's stuff, with the exception of her iPad, was found at her neighbor's house where it's believed the same person broke in, took a shower, and ate food. And now that woman's dog is missing.

It's unclear whether the suspect stole the Jack Russell terrier or if it ran out an open gate.

"We just kind of look out for each other."

Neighbor Jeff Grogan says he saw a suspicious woman around the same time as the burglaries.

"So I came out to the mailbox, said can I help you? She said I'm looking for Ed. I'm like there's no Ed here. So she left started pushing the stroller down the street -- I realized there was no baby in it," said Grogan.

Grogan didn't think anything of it. He later learned of the burglaries. Now all neighbors are on high alert.

"I think the oddest thing was that there was a person in my home going through things like family photos and putting photos out."

Police took fingerprints.

Neighbors say a third house was broken into, the doors were left wide open. The only thing missing was a bathroom air freshener.

Grogan says the woman he saw was about 5'6", skinny, blonde hair with a sleeve of tattoos on both arms down to the elbow.
