Does Your Child Show Symptoms Of Bullying?

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Could your child show symptoms of bullying? Doctors say they may, if you know what to look for.

Researchers reviewed over 30 studies, observing a quarter of a million children in 14 different countries.

They discovered kids who are bullied are more than twice as likely to complain about feeling sick, or having soreness. The most common problems were headaches, stomach aches, back aches, and neck or shoulder pain.

Researchers say kids who complain about recurring or unexplained pains may be showing signs of bullying.

These findings appear in the October issue of the journal "Pediatrics."
