Driver, 24, Critical After Rear-Ending SEPTA Bus

Posted: Updated:

A 24-year-old man is fighting for his life this morning after police say he rear-ended a SEPTA bus.

It happened just before 11:30 p.m. on the 4200 block of Front Street in Juniata.

Police arrived at the scene where a 24-year old man was unconscious behind the wheel of a Chevy Impala that was traveling south bound on Front St and struck the Septa bus from behind while it was parked at Front and Hunting Park.

Police on the scene took the man to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

None of the 10 passengers on-board the SEPTA bus were hurt.

The 48-year-old bus driver was also taken to Temple Hospital with complaints of neck and back pain.

It's unclear what caused the driver to lose control.
