TORONTO (AP) - Alex Rodriguez returned to the New York Yankees lineup Tuesday after leaving Sunday's game with a sore right calf.
Rodriguez, who was due to bat second and be the DH, tested his calf with some pregame drills before taking part in batting practice.
"I'm good," Rodriguez said as he walked off the field following his turn in the cage.
Rodriguez left Sunday's loss at Boston in the fifth inning with a strained right calf. He's also dealing with a sore left hamstring, suffered in last Tuesday's win at Baltimore.
Rodriguez is batting .283 with six home runs and 14 RBIs in 36 games. He missed the first four months of the season while recovering from hip surgery.
