A Florida mom landed in handcuffs after police say she drove drunk to pick up her daughter from school.
According to a police report, an officer stopped Lisset Llauro, 39, in her 2010 Mercedes-Benz shortly before 2:40 p.m. Monday after observing her run over plastic lane markers in the pickup line outside Silver Lakes Elementary School in Miramar, Fl.
Police say Llauro also almost hit a car. She told the officer that she had not had anything to drink and wasn't on medication.
But the police report said Llauro needed to grab onto the car door to keep her balance when she stepped out of her vehicle. Then, she allegedly stumbled out of her car, failed a sobriety test and smelled like booze.
The mother was arrested for DUI. Witnesses say she knocked over a barrier designed to help form a line in the carpool lane in front of the school.
A judge ordered officials to check on her children.
