Police Arrest Church Bookkeeper

Police in Montgomery County have arrested a church book keeper for an alleged case of embezzlement.

On Thursday, police took James Lee Moody into custody after reports that he stole $156,041.75 from Victory Fellowship Church.

Police report Moody committed theft by failure to make required fund transaction and theft by deception. Moody was in charge of managing the finances for the church

Investigation later determined the suspect was also committed to multiple counts of identity theft in 2011.

Moody is being held in prison until posting a $250,000 cash bail.
