The Dodgers division winning deep plunge in the Diamondbacks pool has sent some Arizonans off the deep end. After the team clinched the National League West division yesterday with a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field, they celebrated with the customary champagne showers in the clubhouse. But all that champagne and beer spray must have gone to their heads, because they decided to jump in the Diamondbacks swimming pool in the outfield, despite the face the Diamondbacks organization asked the Dodgers not to come back on to the field. Some Diamondbacks players and managers said they weren't happy with the Dodgers dip and Arizona's favorite son also weighed in. Senator John McCain sent out this tweet:
Senator McComplain knows a thing or two about coming in second and watching someone take a plunge in the pool (I mean poll) #POoLITICS
Manager Don Mattingly said he's not too concerned about the controversy. He says it seems to be overblown, because there were very few fans left in the stands. He said the players were just blowing off steam and showing raw emotion.
