Former NU Head Coach Francis Peay dies at 69

Former Northwestern Head Coach Francis Peay died Saturday morning at 69, according to Northwestern officials.

Peay went 13-51-2 from 1986-91 at Northwestern.  In 1992, the Wildcats replaced Peay with Gary Barnett.

Peay, was an offensive lineman at Missouri before the New York Giants selected him in the first round of the 1966 NFL draft. He also played for the Packers and Chiefs during a nine-year career.
