Vigil held for four victims of I-94 crash

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

A candlelight vigil was held Saturday night to remember the four innocent people who lost their lives in a horrible crash on I-94. Police say the crash was caused by a man chasing his girlfriend.

The prayers will ease the pain, but they may not answer the pressing question: Why? Angie Battle was riding in a pickup truck on eastbound I-94 last Sunday as Dykea Hodges was being chased by her boyfriend. Their two vehicles struck an embankment on the service drive. One stopped; the other didn't.

"Who expects a car to come falling out of the sky on them?" said the victim's son, Jerome Crutcher.

Angie and two others in the pickup truck were killed on impact. Now her daughter and two sons are left with memories. Family members are still raising money for Angie Battle's funeral. You can donate at any PNC Bank branch to the Angie Battle memorial fund.
