NJ Transit bus, van collide on Garden State Parkway

A New Jersey Transit bus and a van collided on the Garden State Parkway in Saddle Brook, N.J., on Tuesday evening, police said.

Several people in the van were seriously hurt, police said.

The bus, which had completed its route and was not carrying any passengers, was heading back to to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. The bus driver suffered neck and back injuries.

Police have shut down the parkway southbound and are diverting traffic off at exit 159.
