DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Brooklyn Nets general manager Billy King says "this is the window" for his retooled team to push for a championship.
King said Tuesday that he's impressed with the way the newest Nets have begun "blending in" with the returners.
Among the big names the Nets added: They acquired Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Chris Terry from Boston and signed free agents Shaun Livingston, Alan Anderson and Andrei Kirilenko.
When asked if this team has a 2-year window to compete, he said this season was "the now" and added that "we're going to see what we can do with this season and then we'll see what next season brings."
The Nets are training this week at Duke, where King was a captain of the Blue Devils' Final Four team in 1988.
