It's a one in a million shot, the search for a missing engagement ring with a very special story behind it.
And tonight, the chances for its recovery just got a tiny bit better!
This diamond ring was designed and purchased for Sue Keslar by her then-fiancee Brian and his father, Bruce.
Sadly, Bruce died just hours after sue and Brian's 2008 wedding, which makes the recent disappearance of the ring, all the more heart-breaking
The ring was reported lost when a jeweler working for Littman's at the Montgomery Mall shipped it to the west coast for repairs
Friends of the Crestfallen couple established a Facebook page titled "Find Sue's Ring," and our initial report has blown it up!
Sue Kesler said, "It's been great! We've had so many people 'friend' the page and offer to share the link."
After our report, Littman's sent the Keslars a digital image taken by the jeweler before the ring disappeared, it's now posted on Facebook.
And they sent the UPS shipping number so the Keslar's could keep track of the search.
"We know the ring is in Los Angeles, that's the last known whereabouts of it." Kessler said.
The ring is fairly distinctive: Sue says two yellow-gold hearts form a bed for a one-carat oval diamond.
The key is to get the couple's friends and our viewers to share the story- spread the word to LA. The more eyes looking for this special keepsake, the better.
Kesler said, "I know it's still a longshot, but yeah, I'm definitely hopeful and am just so happy that we have all these people getting the word out."
