Bucks Co. Homeowners Association Further Limit Pets Allowed

Posted: Updated:
SELLERSVILLE, Pa. -

"Pick A Pet." That's what people in one Bucks County community claim their homeowner's association is making them do. Now families are fighting back to keep their four-legged friends in their homes.

Residents living at "The Mews At Wyckford Commons" in Sellersville claim that their Homeowner's Association abruptly changed the rules on having pets.

They used to allow two pets per family. However, they're changing that to just one. What's worse, residents say that they are not grandfathered in.

Therefore, they either have to get rid of a pet they love or pay a fine. Now homeowners are going to some great lengths to make sure their pets stay a part of their family.

"I'm unable to do that. I actually took one of my dogs off of the property and I'm living with that dog somewhere else away from my husband, my son and this dog," said a Denise Fanelli, a resident.

We contacted the president of the home-owner's association. His wife says that he resigned on Monday. We also reached out to the vice president last night, and are waiting to hear back from him.
