October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hundreds of thousands of people are getting ready to paint the town pink for the Philadelphia Three Day Walk For A Cure.
FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito was live in Willow Grove where the event kicked off. The crowd was growing more excited by the minute. 1,200 are already there, ready for the kick off event to start at 7:00 a.m.
Esposito talked to Dr. Shari Phillips, a national spokeswoman for the event. Dr. Phillips told FOX 29 that she's also a five-year breast cancer survivor.
"We are a family, we are a community, and I could not imagine being anyplace else but here this weekend," she told FOX 29. Watch the full interview this morning.
