Towns Hire Firm To Clean Up Seaside Boardwalk Fire

Posted: Updated:
SEASIDE PARK, N.J. -

Two New Jersey shore towns affected by a massive boardwalk fire have hired a contractor to do demolition and cleanup work.

Seaside Park and Seaside Heights will pay a South Toms River company about $4.7-million to clean up the boardwalk fire.

Work is expected to start next week and will take about two months to complete.

Officials say last month's fire was sparked by some bad wiring, which was affected during Superstorm Sandy.
