Suspected School Bus Shooter Arrested

CAMDEN, N.J. -


Lois Quann feels like a hostage in her grandchildren's Camden home. Nervous the man who fired an assault rifle, an Ak-47, outside their Branch Village Apartment Complex was still on the loose.

"It's been very scary, scary. A lot of people are scared and don't want to  walk down the street," said Quann.

Six weeks after the September 12th shooting Quann's fear subsiding now that  brothers Sinclair and Dupree Reynolds as well as Frank Benson were arrested Friday  morning  at their Centerville area  homes. They're all facing several charges including attempted murder.

Police say 24-year-old Sinclair  fired 14 shots into a crowded park--but  missed his target. One of the stray bullets hit a school bus full of 3 to 5 year olds. Flying debris wounded a 4-year-old boy.

"You're dealing with an individual who has sociopathic behavior to essentially pull out a machine gun and fire," said Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson. "

Chief Thomson says the shooting was drug related. To try and cover their tracks authorities say Benson had the getaway car,  a 2000 Mercury Sable,  demolished at a Philadelphia scrap yard. Investigators have yet to recover the assault rifle. 

Six weeks ago bullets were flying on 18-hundred Phillips street. Now there's 24-7 police presence--to keep Centerville's criminal element in check.

The DA is pushing for $750,000 bail.
