PHILADELPHIA -

A man is under arrest for allegedly impersonating a Philadelphia police officer, authorities say.

Investigators say 45-year-old Barry Young Jr. was blocking the entrance to a Midas auto shop on the 4100 block of Market Street.

When one of the employees asked young to move his car, he allegedly pulled out a gun, then hit him, police say.

Young was arrested over the weekend. Police say he does have a license to carry and works for the city of Philadelphia as a clerk.
