A little boy in Texas celebrated his birthday a few days late all because of a hit and run driver.
Friends and family greeted seven-year-old Lorenzo Cantu, as he was carried home from the hospital Sunday afternoon.
He missed his party Saturday, following a hit and run crash.
Surveillance video captured the incident when a driver hit Lorenzo then took off.
Lorenzo has some trouble walking because his toes were run over. But there were no broken bones, just bumps, bruises, cuts and scratches.
Dallas Police say they are actively investigating the case, but family members tell FOX they burned a copy of the surveillance video for police, who never called back or came to pick it up.
The family says the responding officers did watch the video on the DVR at the home Saturday.
Lorenzo's grandfather was able to blow up the pictures to get a better look of the truck.
It appears to be a white Ford pickup truck with four doors, dual tires on the back with fender flairs and a reinforced bumper on the front. It also looks like the there's a ladder rack that runs the length of the truck, and it was pulling a flat bed trailer that has what seems to be plywood.
"It feels good. I mean I'm glad he's here but I hope the find the guy because that's not right he didn't hit the brakes or nothing," Victoria Cantu, Lorenzo's Mother said.
So far, police don't have any suspects in the hit and run.
