Pseudo-Kardashians star in NYC musical

NEW YORK (AP) - The Kardashians are in New York - but they're not real.

Characters costumed as family members from the TV reality show are starring in a musical production of Kardashian impersonators singing "The Princess and the Pea" story.

It's part of a Gotham Chamber Opera show called "Baden-Baden 1927." Four pieces were presented that year in the German city, asking composers, "What is art? What is reality?"

Director Paul Curran says he's using what some Americans consider art today - TV people who are special because they say so.

Soprano Maeve Hoglund stars as the princess. The Queen is played by a kind of Kardashian mother wondering if good taste is still alive.

The show runs through Tuesday at the Gerald Lynch Theater.
