Being pregnant is an exciting time for many women, and it's exciting for friends and family too, everyone's doting and asking to touch the woman's belly.
However, if you live in Pennsylvania, you may want to keep your hands to yourself because it could be illegal and fall under the harassment law in Pennsylvania.
The incident started with a woman out in the Pittsburgh area. She pressed charges on a man who rubbed her belly.
The 30-year-old pregnant woman claims her neighbor came over, gave her a hug, then said, "I just want to be friends."
According to a police report, the 57-year-old man then touched her belly, an action she did not appreciate.
She then pushed her neighbor away and is now filing harassment charges.
In Pennsylvania, harassment is defined as any action that is intended to annoy or alarm another person. This law has rarely, if ever, been used against someone touching a pregnant woman's belly.
If the neighbor pleads guilty, he'll have to pay a fine. If not, then this case is heading to court.
