Police : Bank Robberies May Be Connected

Police are investigating a brazen bank robbery that happened in the middle of the day. This one at a Wells Fargo on Schuylkill Road in East Pike land Township.

It comes less than a week after another bank robbery that's strikingly similar. Police say there may be a connection.

"Stuff like this goes bad and people start getting hurt very seriously," Det. Ben Martin of East pike land Police said.

The startling surveillance pictures show 3 men wearing ski masks. One of them seen pointing a gun and demanding money from Wells Fargo Bank teller about 11 o'clock this morning.

"They came in and jumped the counter two of them were showing handguns they brought a duffel bag in with them and told everyone to get down," Det. Ben Martin of East Pikeland Police said.

Police say there was only one customer inside the bank. The crooks were in and out within 3 minutes and got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Nicole Williams happened to be at the banks drive through lane as the robbery was taking place. The FBI showed up at her door hours later asking questions after seeing video of her car outside the bank. As a former bank teller she knows how dangerous the job can be.

"They said is this your car and I'm like yea that's my car," Williams said."It was just such a blessing and God was with me because I could have been in there and who know what would have happened"

The robbery is carbon copy of this robbery at a Wells Fargo in Bala Cynwyd last week caught on video.

Three masked men came in waving guns and leave with a bag full of money. a robbery that's still unsolved.

Police say the 2 jobs may be connected.

"We're looking at that there are some similarities nothing concrete," Martin said.

Police are concerned if they don't get caught soon they'll start getting more aggressive.

    Camden County Police are looking for a missing 16-year-old from Lanning Square.Police say Zebedee Matthews was reported missing Sunday, April 20th from his home on the 600 block of Benson Street.Police describe him as a black male, 5'6 ½", 115 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
