PHILADELPHIA (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has canceled his planned first out-of-state speech since winning re-election last week.

He was to appear before the Philadelphia good-government group Committee of Seventy. Organizers say the governor's office told them Wednesday evening that Christie was not feeling well.

No other information is available.

The group says it will donate the breakfast for 600 to the needy and would reschedule Christie's talk.

Christie does have an announcement planned for later Thursday at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Christie will be on the road more in the coming months. He'll serve as chairman of the Republican Governors Association starting next year and will likely appear with GOP candidates nationwide.

He is also considered a likely contender in the 2016 presidential election.
