Trooper-Involved Shooting Occurs During NJ Traffic Stop

CAMDEN, N.J. -

A shooting involving New Jersey state troopers is under investigation is in Camden County.

It happened during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon at Marlton Pike and 24th Street.

Officers say they found an assault weapon inside a vehicle.

Now, authorities have not said what set off the shooting, but they do say troopers shot a suspect in the leg.

A bystander was also hit by a bullet but was not seriously hurt.

No names have been released.
