NYPD: Black helicopter to fly over Lower Manhattan

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The NYPD issued an alert on Wednesday morning to let people in Lower Manhattan know that a black helicopter would be flying low to the ground over the area.

They wanted to make sure people did not panic or call 911.

The notification, sent through Notify NYC, reported that the helicopter would be filming in Lower Manhattan as part of a planned event.

The five-acre site that will consist of office towers, a residential building, retail, a 5-star hotel, health and fitness facilities, rooftop gardens, restaurants, cafes, and a park is being built on top of active rail yards.
