4 Homes Involved In Multi-Alarm Darby Fire

Posted: Updated:
DARBY TWP., Pa. -

A three-alarm fire broke out Monday morning in Darby Township, and three people have been injured.

Police say five homes on the 1500 block of Roosevelt Drive were well involved after the fire began around 9:50 a.m.

Firefighters went on the roof and were using tower trucks to attack the blaze.

The five homes badly damaged leaves at least nine people homeless, that number is likely to rise since the displaced residents are just from four of the affected homes.

The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania hasn't been able to contact anybody who lived in the fifth home.

All three of the injuries were reported to be minor. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

FOX 29's Bruce Gordon is at the scene and will have a live report on the FOX 29 News at 5.
